Our Project at The Downs

In partnership with our co-developer, Preservation of Affordable Housing (POAH), 3i HoME is designing a fully-accessible affordable residential building in Scarborough, Maine. Our building will be located in the vibrant Town Center at The Downs. Our community of affordable rental apartments will be home to 51 households in which at least one member is disabled. In addition to the private rental apartments, the project will feature a common living area for social activities, a designated work space for service providers and a mobility and assistive technology hub.

Caring Communities

Caring Communities is our mixed-income, universally designed, person-centered neighborhood model now being planned.  Without regard to age or income, this concept will feature accessible housing, utilize enhanced care coordination and other transportation solutions.

MATH and ATEC

As part of our project at The Downs in Scarborough we will host our 3i Mobility and Assistive Technology Hub (MATH) and our Assistive Technology Enhancement Center (ATEC). Each will be spaces for developing and furthering the ways in which we are able to utilize technology to allow individuals to live independently.
