Caring Communities is our mixed-income, universally designed, person-centered neighborhood model now being planned.  Without regard to age or income, this concept will feature accessible housing, utilize enhanced care coordination and other transportation solutions.  These neighborhoods will be composed of 15-20 smart, green-engineered homes. Our Caring Communities will also have access to many of the benefits of our Scarborough location at The Downs and our MATH/ATEC.

Caring Community Solutions

01

Provides a solution to much-needed workforce housing

These mixed income neighborhood will consider the needs of long-term care providers by incorporating ADUs to house professional caregivers. Further, this model envisions promoting individual home ownership opportunities to those committed to a career in the essential field of personal care through affordable financing options.

02

Maintaining quality of life for residents

Each Caring Community will have approximately twenty individual cottage homes, each with an associated ADU. These individual, cottage style, small homes will utilize principles of universal design to enable residents to age in place independently, while also building a social community for residents to thrive.

We envision our Caring Communities to be mixed income housing that meets the needs of people with disabilities and also provides affordable housing options for essential workers. Through shared common spaces such as gardens, a common gathering space, and shard outdoor spaces, each community would support socialization and connection of residents to allow them to not only live but thrive at home.
